Glass Systems was established in 1989 and has grown into the largest independent sealed unit manufacturer in the United Kingdom. Since our inception we have been at the forefront in terms of expertise, service and quality within the sealed unit industry. The Glass Systems Group now encompasses four seperate companies offering the full spectrum of products and services to the window, conservatory and door industries.
Glass Systems Limited based at our flagship purpose built factory in Swansea produces 30,000 sealed units per week. Serving South Wales and the southern half of England we have grown into the leading suppliers in our industry through an unparalleled commitment to service and quality. Our continual investment in state of the art machinery, combined with a high caliber workforce allows us to lead the industry in sealed unit production methods. Three robotic sealed unit lines all with gas filling capacity, two auto loading cutting tables and three spacer bar benders controlled by the best computerized production planning system available all contribute to our success. In October 2010 we became the first sealed unit manufacture in the UK to install a Lisec spacer bar bender with the capability of bending Swissspacer V warm edge spacer bar. It allows us to supply the domestic, commercial, new build and local authority sectors of our industry with a quality product, efficiently and on short lead times. Our dedicated stained and bevelled glass studio, a bespoke georgian bar department, and the attention to detail we strive to deliver day in day out means we can offer you, our customer, the very best option available each and every time.
Glass Systems (Direct) Limited our younger cousin based just north of Cardiff has grown since its inception in 2007 into one of the leading sealed unit suppliers along the M5 corridor between the Midlands and Devon. Based on the Glass Systems model it is now producing in excess of 8,000 sealed units every week, and continuing to expand.
Vizor Tempered Glass Limited our purpose built toughened glass division based in Port Talbot services the two Glass Systems divisions as well as offering single toughened outside of the group. Three furnaces and two automatic arising lines have the capacity to produce 24,000m2 of toughened glass each week. Vizors' dedicated paint shop allows us to supply the commercial sector with painted spandrel panels with either standard or bespoke designs at lead times previously unheard of in the industry.
